Monterey Bay Canyon is a playground for ocean creatures! Come observe blue whales, humpback whales, gray whales, killer whales (orcas), dolphins, sea otters, mola molas, seals, sea lions, jellyfish, pelicans, sooty shearwaters, sea turtles, and much more in their natural environment aboard Sea Goddess.
Our on-board marine biologists share their passion to educate and amaze you with facts about these magnificent animals.
Moss Landing, the departure point of the Sea Goddess Whale Watching tour, is situated in the perfect location at the mouth of the submarine canyon midway between Santa Cruz and Monterey. The canyon’s depth (about 1 mile) and nutrient availability, due to the regular invasion of nutrient-rich sediment, provide an ideal habitat for many marine life forms that feed, play, and live in this underwater park.
Prepare to be amazed by the most stunning wildlife in the Pacific Ocean!
You are guaranteed a whale or dolphin sighting or your next trip is FREE.
Due to the shelter in place mandate by Monterey County, we are temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
As we wait for an update from the State of California, we are still taking online reservations for future dates. Gift certificates are always available for purchase.
April has plenty of action including Humpback Whales, Killer Whales (Orca’s) and dolphins! Please check back for any further updates or contact us at [email protected].
Whale watching on Monterey Bay is a magical experience and we look forward to you joining us in the near future. Thank you for your patronage!
